Sorry, we’re fresh out of cats.

First, a new reminder of this week’s glorious fake holiday.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

There is a tragic shortage in Iowa. A shortage of cats. No joke! They have a shortage of cats! The reason that I know that isn’t very interesting, so we’ll keep it a secret, thereby making it intriguing. =) But anyway. As some of you may remember, TheTownWhereILive has a cat surplus, so on Monday, a brave soul set out to right this wrong. That’s right, Dr. Robotnik is now a proud Iowan cat. As of Monday afternoon, he was settling in to the shelter there, preparing to charm some friendly Iowans into taking him home.

How does a cat shortage happen, I wonder? On second thought, I probably shouldn’t wonder about such things for too long. I’ll pretend that it is because the people of Iowa like cats more than the people of Minnesota.

Really- a shortage of cats? Bizarre. Do they happen to have a shortage of dogs as well? I really want to know how you know these things. : )

Yay! At least the Eichenlaub family reads my blog. =)

My source does not know anything on the subject of Shortages of Dogs in Iowa. I’ll never reveal my source.
