ahhh, the life of a blogger.

I got an email from my very first Blog Critic today. Thanks, Mom. =)
(that should be read with 60% sarcasm and 40% thankfulness that Mom pointed out something I should have noticed.)

Turns out that Internet Explorer is stupid. My website is beautiful (if I do say so myself) on Mozilla and Firefox, but I neglected to check it out on IE. oops. Mozilla happily disguises my inexperience by resizing the pictures I posted with no complaints. IE is out to get me. Now I have to find some sort of picture editting software so that I can resize my pictures and save a Small version and a Large version and then post the Small one as a link to the Large one. Phooey. It might actually be easier to convince all my friends to download Mozilla in order to view my blog.

or maybe not. we’ll see.

  1. This might be overkill for just rezizing images, but it’s pretty swell.

    Thanks! I’ll check that out!

Boo. We want more updates! I know your computer is up and running. Your fans demand pictures of your new house!

Oh, and the Gimp is pretty cool. I’ve installed it on my system now, so I can show you how to use it whenever you like.

I’ll update soon with new house pictures. Mom and Dad just left this afternoon and there are lots of boxes left to unpack. Happily, we did LOTS of work this weekend, so there is much less to do than I thought there would be. I even have a new desk and fabulously cool lamps from IKEA (Thanks, Mom and Dad!). I just installed the Gimp, so I am ready for a lesson anytime. Oh, and those last few boxes that we were storing at your house…

  5. Carol says:

we’re holding the boxes hostage in exchange for an update on your blog!!! heh-heh-heh (evil laugh). oh, and I actually watched tv tonight- have you seen “how I met your mother?” I love doogie howser. :)

I taped that on my dvr-machine last night. I was hoping that it would be good cause I love Willow (from Buffy; can’t remember how to spell her real name!). Loved the Eichenblog today — Isaac is adorable! and smart!
