Stuff and Things

Here are a couple of pictures of the new dog.
Gus and Nathan Feb2011
Nathan thought it was fun to feed Gus his dinner piece by piece. Gus was incredibly tolerant, considering Nathan was carrying about 5 pieces of dog food at a time from the kitchen to the living room and then only doling it out a piece at a time. And after he got slobbered on a couple of times, Nathan insisted that Gus wait until the food was on the floor and his hand was out of range before the poor dog was allowed to eat. It was terribly amusing to watch.

Thank goodness Gus has settled in enough to eat out of his bowl on his own without any hand-feeding being necessary.

Gus and his toy
Gus seems to be a playful guy. I think he’s going to enjoy chasing Nathan around the backyard once the snow is gone. We’re going to have to work on the fetching, though; right now he just chases the ball and then runs back without it. He’s very happy about this game, but it makes the game a bit more difficult for me.

Ready for a new subject? Oh hey, look what I made!
Cute, aren’t they? They’re really fun to make, too, except for all the sewing at the end. =)

That’s all for now. I’m still pregnant, it’s still super cold, and Nathan is still adorable and hilarious. He and Mike just got home from the weekly grocery shopping. Time for lunch!
