First words

Is it bad if my baby’s first word is “don’t”? Cause I’m pretty sure that’s the word he is working on. He’s been shaking his head no for about a week now, and he definitely knows what it means. The best is when he starts climbing on the fireplace while shaking his head or starts smashing his Crispy Hexagons to tiny crumbs while shaking his head. Tonight at dinner he was pounding on his tray, shaking his head and saying something that sounded suspiciously like “Nathan, don’t”.

He’s a pretty great parrot, actually. This morning there was a commercial on TV with a leaf blower. As soon as it ended, he started making very convincing motor noises.

I guess this means I’m going to have to quit swearing. For real this time.

Good luck with the foul language. I don’t think you can do it.
For really- I’m so happy that Nathan has joined the ranks of the talking folks.

Yes, you do have to stop with the foul language and you can do it!!
I’m not sure he says words but he sure is loud on the phone. He is just a happy little boy. Can’t wait to spend a few days with him.
    Love – MOM
