oh, THAT’S just what I needed

another new show to watch!
*WARNING: following that link leads to a trailer for the show, so if you are at work and don’t want to be embarrassed by bad TV coming out of your computer, don’t click until you are safely at home!*

I read the books, so I am sort of obligated to watch the show. Especially since I really liked the first few books in the series. After that they got a bit silly and preachy and incredibly repetitive. Fantasy novels shouldn’t be pushing political ideals, imho. Not that I stopped reading. I’m just sayin’.

Maybe the TV show will be as bad as Fringe and I can cross it off the DVRing list soon. But I really want it to be good. My life is so difficult.

No no no no no no no damn you!

I just finished this series after being given the first couple of books last spring as a gift. Why must they do this! Guess I’ll have to get that DVR after all…

Once you get a DVR you’ll never be able to get rid of it, so hold out as long as you can! I used to tell people that the DVR meant that I watched less TV because I only watched things that I really cared about. Now I record all sorts of ridiculous things just because I can. For instance, I have been watching Crossing Jordan again, and since the machine keeps recording America’s Next Top Model, I might as well keep watching it, right?

You know there are very professional therapists that can help you with that mental disorder that forces you to watch America’s top Model…

As for the Seeker show, I saw the first two episodes and aside from the casting of the guy who plays Zedd, I’m very unsure about it. I know that they cannot be completely true to the books, but the Richard character and some of the liberties they take with the story overall may really turn off hardcore fans of the books.

The Richard character is really sad. Cute kid, but srsly, Richard is supposed to be a big, burly, strong guy. And, I agree, I am really unsure about it. It just seems like there is so much missing. Not just plot-wise, but substance-wise, if that makes any sense. But don’t worry, I’ll keep watching. It’s what I do. I have a problem, I know.
